Vote for us as "Best Hiking Trail" in CityBeat's Best of Cincinnati (under Family and Health).
Urban hiking should not just be seen as a one time novelty excursion. Cincinnati offers a nearly limitless amount of hills and stairwells to explore. Just like the crafty raccoon or the noble possum, urban hiking embraces a ubiquitous blending of man and nature.

Walnut Hills (4.5 mi)
Eden Park (2.6 mi)
Price Hill (2.2 mi)
The Traditional Seven Hills of Cincinnati:
Mount Adams
Walnut Hills
Mount Auburn
Vine Street Hill
College Hill
Fairmount
Mount Harrison (Price Hill)
Note on Topography: As the city expanded, other areas like Mount Lookout, Mount Washington, and Clifton Heights were often debated as additions or replacements to the original seven. The Public Library of Cincinnati notes that while the "Seven Hills" is a fixed cultural label, the city actually contains dozens of distinct hills due to its location in the Ohio River valley.
Thank you to Mary Anna DuSablon with Connie J. Harrell, John Cicmanec, and Edward Balsey for inspiring us!
